The Los Angeles Rams‘ offense was one of the team’s most successful elements in the 2025 season. L.A. finished No. 1 in points per game, quarterback Matthew Stafford led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns, receiver Puka Nacua led the NFL in receptions and Davante Adams led the league in receiving touchdowns.
Their advanced metrics were impressive in specific marks, too. The Analyst gave out superlatives for the top offensive players using advanced data and player ratings and Stafford, Nacua and Adams each earned something. Stafford was named “best in the clutch,” Adams took the “top touchdown-maker” award and Nacua was given the “best hands” and “best all-around receiver” award.

Matthew Stafford
The MVP candidate threw for eight touchdowns and just one interception in the fourth quarter when the Rams led or trailed by seven points or less. Stafford also had the third-best passer rating (113.6) and the fourth-most yards per attempt (8.21), and he tied for second with seven plays of 25 or more yards in those situations.
Davante Adams
A burn occurs when a receiver “wins” his matchup against a defender on a play in which he is targeted, regardless of whether the pass from the quarterback was catchable or not. No one won his matchup for a touchdown more than Adams as his 19 touchdown burns led the NFL, well ahead of Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints and Jaxon Smith-Njigba with 14 each.
Puka Nacua
Nacua had the best catch-over-expected rating (plus-6.9%) among qualified wide receivers, while Ricky Pearsall (+14.2%) of the San Francisco 49ers and Jalen Coker of the Carolina Panthers (+12.3%) also deserve recognition, albeit in a much-smaller sample size.
Why is Nacua the best wideout overall? Of course, he led the NFL in receptions (129) and ranked second in receiving yards (1,715). Oh, and he also was No. 2 in route rating (94.3) behind [Steelers receiver George] Pickens. But that’s not what makes him the best all-around receiver. What does? The fact that he tops all qualified WRs with a 78.0 block rating as well.
These three were at the top of their game in 2025, and were rewarded with some truly sensational seasons. While it didn’t end in Super Bowl glory, Stafford and Adams could take home individual awards. Stafford is a leading candidate for NFL MVP, while Nacua is a finalist for NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
