Free agency is fast approaching, and everyone is anxiously waiting to see what teams and players will do come March 11. While we wait, it’s always fun to see analysts’ opinions on where impending free agents might land, and that’s what we’re looking at today.

Pro Football Focus recently named the best landing spots for the top 10 offensive free agents in 2026, and they think a serious weapon would be an excellent fit for the New York Giants.

WR Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts: 80.1 PFF GradeBest Landing spot: New York GiantsPierce has taken significant steps over the past two seasons in order to cash in this offseason. His 81.6 PFF receiving grade since the start of the 2024 season ranks top 25 among all receivers. Pierce is a lethal deep threat that could transform any offense, as his 24 receptions on throws targeted 20-plus yards downfield ties for the third-most over that span.Jaxson Dart was one of the most aggressive deep passers in college football coming out, recording the most 20-plus-yard passing attempts in the Power Four over his final two seasons. That resulted in the New York Giants posting the NFL’s highest deep passing rate last season, but the lack of a vertical threat that can take the top off of defenses was sorely missed. Pierce can step into that role and make an immediate impact.

Pierce is coming off his rookie contract with the Colts, and he’s improved every year he’s been in the league. He had his first 1,000-yard season in 2025, and, as PFF notes, he’s a serious deep threat. Right now, the main deep threat the Giants have is Malik Nabers, and he will be coming off a torn ACL that forced him off the field in Week 4.

With Jaxson Dart under center, imagine him having both Nabers and Pierce, plus if they can find a way to retain Wan’Dale Robinson, that’s an explosive three-headed monster. The problem the Giants have this year is a severe lack of cap space. They’ll be faced with some tough decisions this offseason, especially if they want to bring in a talent like Alec Pierce.
