Now that the Tennessee Titans have secured their next head coach in Robert Saleh, and his coaching staff is falling into place, it is almost time to shift focus to free agency and the NFL draft.Â
Tennessee will enter this next phase of the offseason needing to add talent to the roster and fill some significant holes at key positions. Right now, Tennessee has what appears to be needs at Â
Cornerback, edge, and wide receiver that must be addressed at some point, and will likely look to the draft to add some reinforcements. In his latest mock draft for NFL.com, analyst Bucky Brooks sees the Titans doing just that and adding a playmaker for Cam Ward.Â
Pick 4 – Tennessee Titans – WR Carnell Tate – Ohio StateÂ
Even if the Titans find a WR1 in free agency, a dearth of perimeter talent (rookie Elic Ayomanor just led Tennessee receivers with 515 yards) could inspire the team to double-dip at the position, with Tate (17.2 yards per catch in 2025) coming aboard as a big-play specialist.
This isn’t the first time that Tate has been mocked to the Titans, with Dane Brugler of The Athletic making the pick in his latest mock as well. While Tate is a dynamic wideout who would easily fight for playing time as a rookie, it’s hard to see the Titans looking past defensive playmakers early in the draft.Â

Reality is, the Titans need talent, and Tate has the skill set to help take the offense to the next level, and could be the pick. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.Â
