It’s no secret the Cincinnati Bengals ripped off the Cleveland Browns when they traded for Joe Flacco mid-season.

The Browns, who went on to fire a head coach and host a mildly embarrassing coaching search this offseason, gave away Flacco for cheap. The veteran went on to keep the Bengals alive until Joe Burrow’s return.

And now Flacco’s headed for the Pro Bowl.

It’s a hilarious turn of events when looking at the Flacco trade for the Bengals and Browns. The Pro Bowl is a mess that has resorted to inviting backups. Burrow himself, presumably, passed on the chance, if asked.

But the Bengals can now officially brag that they traded a fifth-round draft pick for a Pro Bowl quarterback, so there’s that.
