Nick Lachey urges Mike Brown to sell Cincinnati Bengals in new song

  • January 31, 2026

CINCINNATI (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER) –Cincinnati Bengals fans who strongly feel like owner Mike Brown should sell the team can consider adding this new track to their playlists.

Singer and TV personality Nick Lachey dropped a catchy tune on his YouTube channel on Jan. 30 titled “Sell ‘Em Mike Brown,” which the Cincinnati native uses to express his frustrations with the way Brown has managed the Bengals, according to our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer.

For two minutes and 20 seconds, the lifelong Bengals fan underscores the team’s constant shortcomings, questions Brown’s decision-making and repeatedly pleads for him to just sell the team throughout the chorus.

“Sell ‘Em Mike Brown. Stop playing a clown, baby” Lachey sings. “Quit bringing my Bengals down.”

This isn’t the first time the 98 Degrees boy band member and“Love Is Blind” hosthas publicly called out Brown.

On Jan. 5, Lachey took to social media to voice his displeasure with Mike Brown’s decision to keep head coach Zach Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin at the helm for another season, calling the move “a slap in the face to all Bengals fans.”

“When something isn’t working anymore and this clearly isn’t, you change. You adapt. You move on. To not do so is to admit that you have zero problem with the outcome you’re currently in,” Lachey wrote in an Instagram post.

His rant continued, adding that ownership doesn’t care about neither the fans nor the city of Cincinnati, stating the front office only cares about “making money hand over fist on the backs of all the hardworking Cincinnatians.”

Brown, who is the son of Bengals co-founder Paul Brown, started as an assistant general manager for the team in 1968. He assumed ownership of the team in 1991 after his father died.

Since then, the Bengals have missed the playoffs 26 times in 35 seasons, including this past season where the team finished with a 6-11 record. Their best season was in 2021-22 where they lost in the Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams.
