The Philadelphia Eagles will need to make a difficult decision on tight end Dallas Goedert’s future.

Goedert is set to hit the free agency market this offseason, and though he’s spent this entire career with the Eagles, Pro Football Focus’ Nathan Jahnke predicts the veteran pass-catcher will depart Philadelphia for the Denver Broncos.

Here is what Jahnke had to say about Goedert and his potential fit in Denver:

“The Broncos are one of the teams that most need a tight end. Sean Payton has a long history with veteran free agent tight ends, including Jeremy Shockey, Ben Watson, Jared Cook and Evan Engram. Engram didn’t work out this past season, but Goedert fits more of the size and speed that Payton typically looks for in a tight end.”

Goedert is coming off one of the best years of his career in 2025, tallying a career high of 60 receptions and 11 touchdowns, along with 591 yards.

The 31-year-old now enters free agency as one of the top players at his position, and the Broncos should have their eyes set on him this spring.

Denver could use an upgrade at tight end, as Evan Engram was lackluster this season. Adding Goedert would provide quarterback Bo Nix a savvy security blanket and a lethal red-zone threat.

Spotrac projects Goedert will land just a one-year deal worth $6 million. This projection seems a bit low, but Goedert isn’t expected to cost too much on the open market, which is great news for the Broncos.

General manager George Paton is slated to have $28 million in cap space to work with, and signing Goedert to bolster a major position of need and aid his young quarterback would be a fantastic move.
