If Josh Allen can land Hailee Steinfeld, why can’t Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis land Sydney Sweeney?

The Bills’ All-Pro kick returner is the latest athlete to jokingly shoot his shot with the popular actress after she told Cosmopolitan what she wants in a man.

“Athletic and outgoing and funny,” Sweeney said. “I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family. I love myself a man…”

The comments on her ideal man have taken off on social media. Davis was one of many athletes who said he would be willing to try new things to land Sweeney.

On X, formerly Twitter, Davis wrote, “I can probably add skydiving to my bucket list.”

Davis is attempting a play off the field, after a season in which he made plenty of plays on it.

In his second season in the league, Davis led the NFL in yards per kick return (30.4). The back finished the season with 31 kick returns for 943 yards and one touchdown. In all, Davis finished with 1,304 all-purpose yards. In his first season as a kick returner, Davis earned first-team All-Pro honors.

Davis commented on the honor to BuffaloBills.com.

“It’s a blessing. It’s an honor just to show the hard work that I was able to put in throughout the summer, throughout the offseason,” Davis said. “A season hasn’t been the way that I thought it was going to be, but I had to embrace it and just find a role where these guys could really trust me. It’s a saying that I always love to say, but ‘They tried to write me off, but I chose to never write back.’ And that’s something that I had to just focus on and pay attention to myself, look the guy in the mirror and go, ‘Do you love this sport?’ And if you love it, you’re going to go out there and show it.”

Davis was not the only NFL player to see Sweeney’s comments. All-Pro wide receiver Puka Nacua also quote-tweeted a post with Sweeney’s quote, along with the comment, “Love skydiving.”
