One NFL analyst believes that an AFC foe would be a good fit for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ free agent linebacker Devin Lloyd.
Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus recently selected one free agent that each NFL team should pursue. For the Jaguars, it was a veteran defensive back.
When it came to Lloyd, Locker believes that the Cincinnati Bengals should try to sign the Jaguars’ linebacker.
“The Bengals have no choice but to tweak their defensive personnel this season after finishing 29th in EPA per play and 28th in success rate,” Locker wrote. “Although all three levels could use boosts, Cincinnati ranked dead last in overall grade at linebacker — which Lloyd could fix in one fell swoop.”
Lloyd did a bit of everything for the Jacksonville defense under Anthony Campanile. He totaled 25 pressures as a blitzer during the regular season and ranked 11th among linebackers in PFF’s run defense grade.

In coverage, he recorded five interceptions and two pass breakups.
As a result of his career year, Lloyd was named a Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro.
Lloyd has earned himself a big payday this offseason. According to Spotrac, Lloyd is projected to land a three-year contract worth $60.4 million.
At that contract amount, will Lloyd be back with the Jaguars?
