Buffalo Bills fans hoping for an upgrade at wide receiver might be able to see one playing in the Super Bowl.
The Seattle Seahawks‘ Rashid Shaheed will be the biggest threat for an explosive play throughout the big game against the New England Patriots, either via kick return or in the passing game.
After this season ends, though, Shaheed will be a free agent. That’s partly why the New Orleans Saints traded him away to the Seahawks before the deadline.
Maybe the Bills would’ve been better served trading for Shaheed then, but they could get a second bite at the apple in free agency.

Pro Football Focus writer Bradley Locker singles Shaheed out as the one ideal free agent for the Bills to end up with this offseason.
“New head coach Joe Brady will inherit a Bills roster that needs attention on both sides of the ball, but the team’s receiving corps seems the most dire,” Locker writes. “With Khalil Shakir returning as the lone consistent contributor, Buffalo needs more weapons for Josh Allen.”
Shaheed is known as a big-play guy, but he’s a decently polished wideout in general.
“Shaheed owns a career 74.2 PFF receiving grade, including posting a 61.5 receiving mark since being acquired by the Seahawks midseason, but he would be a strong fit with Allen,” Locker writes. “The 27-year-old has dropped only two passes across his four-year career, and his 95.7 deep receiving grade is the 12th-highest among qualified receivers since 2022. Shaheed would help inject perimeter speed to Buffalo’s offense without breaking the bank.”

It’d be a lot of fun for Bills Mafia to have a wideout with such impressive ability as Shaheed.
He’s certainly worth keeping an eye on in the Super Bowl. Brandon Beane will surely be paying attention to him.
