The Tennessee Titans have hired Cade Knox as offensive assistant/game management, bringing in a familiar face from the New York Giants‘ staff to advise new head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll on in-game decisions.
Knox spent the past four seasons (2022-2025) in the same role with the Giants under Daboll, serving as the game-day advisor focused on timeouts, challenges, and situational strategy.
A Harvard psychology graduate who joined the Giants’ analytics department in 2020 before his promotion, Knox helped integrate data-driven approaches during Daboll’s tenure, including direct headset communication for real-time game management.
His move to Tennessee follows Daboll’s own transition to the Titans as offensive coordinator, continuing a trend of former Giants assistants joining the organization amid Saleh’s staff rebuild. Knox replaces Rob Riederer, who was let go, and will act as Saleh’s in-box consultant to address past in-game management issues.
From the Giants’ perspective, losing Knox is another departure from a coaching tree that emphasized analytics and innovation since 2022. His expertise in bridging analytics with on-field calls should serve Saleh well in Nashville.
