Update 2/1/2026: Thousands brave freezing temperatures to attend Patriots Super Bowl send-off

Before boarding their team plane to Santa Clara, the New England Patriots held a Super Bowl send-off rally at Gillette Stadium.

Despite freezing temperatures, thousands of fans showed up to support the team. They were treated to a diverse program that featured speeches by the team, franchise legends as well as a performance by the Dropkick Murphys.

Among those addressing the crowd was head coach Mike Vrabel.

“This is beyond my wildest dreams for the fans to have embraced us in this first year in this program the way that you have,” Vrabel said. “I said all along, if our players played up to the standard that you guys expected and the effort with which they would play and their style of football, you would come out. And come out you did.”

Also speaking to the fans were team owners Robert and Jonathan Kraft as well as quarterback Drake Maye. Wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins — the latter playing into the “Road Warrior” mentality the team has adopted this season — also took the stage to get the fans fired up.

Following the event, the Patriots boarded busses to head to T.F. Green Airport in Providence. They will take on th Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX next Sunday.
