Joe Burrow was named to his third Pro Bowl on Sunday.Burrow is set to join quarterback Joe Flacco, as well as wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as the Bengals’ representation at this year’s Pro Bowl.Burrow had also been named to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2024.The honor comes as all three original AFC quarterbacks named to the annual NFL event have now pulled out of this year’s Pro Bowl. The original lineup included the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, the New England Patriots’ Drake Maye, and the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert.Allen confirmed he had to pull out due to injury, while Maye declined to participate as he prepares to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60 next week. Most recently, Herbert announced this week that he would not participate in the event due to ongoing injury complications. This leaves Burrow and Flacco to join up with the Cleveland Browns’ Shedeur Sanders as the three to represent the AFC’s quarterback roster this year.Meanwhile, the NFC side will be represented by the Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, and the Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff. The honor comes despite Burrow having one of the most tumultuous seasons of his NFL career in 2025, playing just eight games throughout the entire season, where he went 5-3 on the field. Burrow also had significantly more muted stats this season than prior seasons on the field, throwing for an average of 226.1 yards per game, the 15th highest in the NFL among quarterbacks who played at least five games this season. Burrow also threw for 17 passing touchdowns, which is an average of approximately two per game.Meanwhile, Burrow averaged 289.3 passing yards per game in 2024, which was the best in the league among quarterbacks who played at least five games last season. He also threw 43 passing touchdowns, which is an average of approximately two and a half per game. The 2026 Pro Bowl Games are expected to take place on Tuesday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Super Bowl will be airing live on WLWT, with a kickoff time of 6:30 p.m. between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots in San Francisco.
