Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was limited to just eight games this season due to injury. This marked the fewest games the former No. 1 overall pick has played in his six-year NFL career.

Burrow suffered a foot injury in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and ended up missing nine straight games. The 29-year-old was diagnosed with a Grade 3 turf toe injury, which required surgery. He was initially expected to miss three months, but Burrow returned after roughly 10 weeks.

Burrow logged a 5-3 QB record in eight games played. He registered 173-of-259 completed passes (66.8%) for 1,809 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. The former LSU Tigers star also added 41 yards on the ground on 14 carries.

Burrow’s comeback in Week 13 did not do much for Cincinnati. He brought some life back to the team with his return, but it was far from enough to lead the Bengals to success.

Cincinnati finished the season with a 6-11 record. This marked their third consecutive season without making the NFL playoffs.

The Bengals announced some news about Burrow on Saturday. The two-time Comeback Player of the Year winner was named to the Pro Bowl squad, marking his third career selection.

Burrow will be the third quarterback on the AFC roster. He joins Bengals teammate Joe Flacco and Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders.

Burrow will be the fourth Bengals player who will take part in the 2026 Pro Bowl Games. Wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were both selected as well.
