Jackson State has released its 2026 football schedule, featuring five home games and four classic matchups.The Tigers will open the season on the road Aug. 29, renewing their rivalry with Tennessee State in the John Merritt Classic in Nashville.Jackson State will then return home for three straight games, beginning with Edward Waters in the Hope Labor Day Classic-marking the first meeting between the two programs. The Tigers will follow with matchups against Tuskegee in the W.C. Gordon Classic and Southern at home.The Tigers will hit the road for back-to-back contests, starting with the Gulf Coast Challenge against Alabama A&M, followed by a road game at Grambling.Jackson State returns home Oct. 17 to face Florida A&M for homecoming. The Tigers will then take on Bethune-Cookman, Mississippi Valley State, and Alabama State before closing the regular season against Alcorn on Nov. 21.
