The Cleveland Browns continue to build out their staff under new head coach Todd Monken.

After poaching numerous offensive assistants from Monken’s old team, Cleveland’s AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens, Monken has now hired his quarterbacks coach and tight ends coach. Names that have already joined the staff include passing game coordinator Danny Breyer, offensive coordinator Travis Switzer, offensive analyst Ian Kolste, and offensive line coach Larry Warhop.

Now joining the Browns as quarterbacks coach is Mike Bajakian, who accepted the same role at Michigan State under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Bajakian has a combined 30 years of coaching experience between the college and NFL levels. His most recent stops were at the University of Utah, where he was quarterbacks coach and interim offensive coordinator, and UMass, where he held the same roles. He spent three seasons with Monken when he was the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2016-2018 as well.

The Browns are also bringing back a familiar face as tight ends coach. Jeff Blasko returns to Cleveland after being on staff with Monken with the Browns in 2019. Blasko was the assistant offensive line coach in Cleveland under head coach Freddie Kitchens then, and went on to spend five years with the Dallas Cowboys as assistant offensive line coach, run game coordinator, and running backs coach.

So, if my math is correct, that leaves the role of running backs coach and wide receivers coach still vacant unless Kolste is taking one of those roles (his role was not disclosed).
