Bad Bunny made history at the 2026 Grammy Awards ahead of his highly anticipated performance at the NFLSuper Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday. The 31-year-old Puerto Rican artist, real name Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, won the grand prize at the Grammys.
Bad Bunny’s critically acclaimed “DeBI TiRAR MaS FOToS” was named Album of the Year at the prestigious awards show. This is the first time in the history of the Grammy Awards that a Spanish-language album won the top prize.
Bad Bunny’s big win comes just in time as he prepares for one of the biggest performances of his life. He will take center stage at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday at halftime as the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots face off in Super Bowl 60.

Apart from Album of the Year, Bad Bunny also won Best Musica Urbana Album and Best Global Performance for “EeO.” He was also nominated but lost in three other categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Album Cover.
The NFL reacted to the big news on social media. The league took to Instagram to share a brief message on Bad Bunny’s Album of the Year win at the Grammys.
“👏👏👏 Next stop Super Bowl!” the NFL wrote.
Bad Bunny will soon add his name to the growing list of music icons that have taken the Super Bowl halftime stage. This includes the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Beyonce, to name a few.
Bad Bunny will follow the much-talked-about performance of Kendrick Lamar from last year’s show. Bad Bunny will have some big shoes to fill.
Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The halftime show is expected to start at around 8 to 8:30 p.m. ET.
