BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The opponents and dates for the upcoming Southern football season have been revealed. Times are TBD.
The Marshall Faulk era will officially begin on August 29th against Alabama State in Birmingham. This will be the second straight year the Jaguars play in Week Zero at a neutral site.
The following week, Southern will host Kentucky State for the first of five home games this season. Homecoming is slated for October 3rd against Arkansas Pine Bluff.
The Jaguars will spend a lot of time in the Houston metro area with contests at the University of Houston, Prairie View A&M, and Texas Southern. The full schedule is listed below:

September 5th: Kentucky State
September 12th: at Houston
September 19th: Louisiana Christian
September 26th: at Jackson State
October 3rd: Arkansas Pine-Bluff (Homecoming)
October 10th: at Prairie View A&M
October 17th: at Texas Southern
October 24th: Bye
October 31: at Florida A&M
November 7th: Bethune Cookman
November 14th: Alcorn State
November 21st: Bye
November 28th: Grambling State (Bayou Classic)
