As the Chargers prepare for the 2026 NFL draft and the looming free agency period, Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine listed three potential offseason trades that they could consider making to bolster their roster heading into the 2026 season.
With an estimated $88.6 million of cap space available, Ballentine listed the Chargers’ biggest areas of needed reinforcement as interior offensive line, defensive tackle, and edge rusher.
That being said, he listed the following star players as potential trade targets for the Bolts to pursue in the offseason.
Bellentine views a potential acquisition of Jenkins from Green Bay as a significant improvement over the Chargers’ disastrous 2025 offensive line, which was ravaged by injuries.

Jenkins is a very skilled guard for the Packers, but his contract dispute with the team last spring and subsequent move to center might have Green Bay interested in a trade if Los Angeles presents a strong offer.
For the Bolts, Jenkins could move back out to guard for the Chargers and immediately become a viable option at tackle if Rashawn Slater or Joe Alt suffer any form of injury next fall.
EDGE Rashan Gary – Green Bay Packers
2025 Regular Season Stats:45 tackles (25 solo, 20 assisted), 7.5 sacks, 6 stuffs, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 pass defended.
While Chargers’ general manager Joe Hortiz has Green Bay on the phone, they might as well take a shot at acquiring edge Rashan Gary.
Jim Harbaugh has strong ties to Gary from their shared time at Michigan, when the 2019 first-rounder played for the Wolverines from 2016-18. As an added incentive, the Packers would free up $11 million in cap space if they choose to trade him this offseason.
With Odafe Oweh, a pending free agent this March, Gary would be an instant replacement as a formidable threat on the defensive front if Oweh departs this offseason.
2025 Regular Season Stats:
Receiving: 50 receptions for 682 yards and 6 touchdownsRushing: 15 carries for 79 yards and 1 touchdownPassing: 1-for-1 on completions for 2 yards and 1 touchdown
While it could be a tough challenge for the Bolts, adding a veteran wide receiver like Moore might be on the Chargers’ wish list after funneling 122 targets to 33-year-old Keenan Allen this season.
Moore will be 29 this season and saw his targets cut significantly in Chicago’s offense this past season, as Rome Odunze and Luther Burden developed. This also excludes the emergence of tight end Colston Loveland, who also snagged targets from the group.
While Moore is still a legitimate threat regardless of his involvement in Chicago’s offense, a trade to Los Angeles would not only free up cap space for the Bears but could also create a star-studded wide receiver pairing alongside Quentin Johnson and Ladd McConkey.
While these three moves are all hypothetical, they are still legitimate possibilities for the Chargers this offseason as they transition to a new look offense under offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.
