The New York Jets will deploy a much different look offensively in 2025. After the Aaron Rodgers era came crashing and burning down in a 5-12 2024 season, Justin Fields is the new man under center for the Jets. Fields was singed to a two-year deal worth $40 million.
On top of Fields, Aaron Glenn is the newest head coach of the New York Jets, his first stint as an NFL head coach. Darren Mougey has taken over as general manager, creating a trifecta of new faces to represent the future of the franchise.

Fields is hoping to finally live up to the potential that got him drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Fields could use more help than is currently on the roster, however, especially after the departures of Davante Adams and Tyler Conklin in free agency.
It would come as no surprise if the Jets added another veteran receiver before the 2025 season kicks off. Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton is eyeing one receiver in particular: six-time Pro Bowler Keenan Allen.
“At 33, Keenan Allen can still help a playoff contender or young quarterback with his reliable hands and ability to find the end zone once his team reaches the red zone. He has a career 68.1 percent catch rate and recorded nine of his last 14 touchdowns with a reception within 16 yards of the goal line.” Moton wrote.
“In 2024, Allen caught 70 passes for 744 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns with the Chicago Bears. He moved the chains for a first down on about 61 percent of his receptions. If teams can look beyond Allen’s age, he can be a dependable No. 2 option in a passing attack.”

Despite his age, Allen can still be reliable in a complementary role in the Jets’ offense. Playing second fiddle to Garrett Wilson should loosen some coverages up on Allen, who still caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. Allen could round out a receiver room featuring veterans Josh Reynolds and Allen Lazard, as well as youngsters such as Xavier Gipson and Arian Smith.
