The Seattle Seahawks are headed to the Super Bowl, and for Leonard Williams’ family, the trip comes with more than just football stakes.
Hailey Louise Williams, the breathwork facilitator and meditation teacher married to the Seahawks’ star defensive end, is 36 weeks pregnant — which makes Super Bowl weekend the last time doctors have cleared her to fly before their baby arrives.
With kickoff approaching, Hailey says the couple has already shifted into preparation mode at home, balancing playoff intensity with nesting instincts.
“Everything is prepared for the baby. The nursery’s done, I got the car seat and the stroller. We have the crib, and everything’s ready to go,” she shared with People.
The baby is due in early March, so once the Super Bowl LX lights go out, football temporarily takes a back seat to family life.
“Right now, we’re focusing on football,” she explained. “Leo’s doing his best to support me with all the emotions that have come up because emotions come up in pregnancy.”
There’s also a built-in support system. Hailey’s family lives in San Francisco, the host city for this year’s championship, meaning she won’t be navigating the final stretch alone. Her father, Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, will also be in attendance.
Even during games, pregnancy has made its presence known. Hailey said the baby tends to kick when the stadium noise rises — especially at Lumen Field.
“Especially at Lumen Field, because it’s so loud, I think they are like, ‘What’s happening out there?’” she said, laughing. “I like to think they know what’s going on and are rooting for the Seahawks as well.”
Last week’s NFC Championship clincher brought everything into focus. After Seattle secured its ticket, Hailey joined Leonard on the field as confetti fell around them.
“Being able to be on the field was such a moment that we’ll never forget,” she said. “Especially being pregnant. It makes it even more meaningful.”
Game day rituals will look different this time. Instead of a pregame visit, the couple plans to connect by phone. “We’ll probably have a phone call where I get to pray over him,” she said. “I’ll be praying over him the entire game.”
