PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One man isn’t just an Arizona Cardinals super fan — he’s the heart of the team and his community! Now, he needs help from fellow fans to win grand honor of NFL Fan of the Year.
If you’ve ever been to a Cardinals game in your life, there’s a pretty good chance you have seen Kenny Salinas in the stands. Salinas, a Casa Grande native, has cheered on the Cardinals for over two decades, representing the Bird Gang wherever he goes.
Salinas is among the top five finalists to bring home the award. Rise up, red sea, and vote for Salinas to take home the national grand prize! The fan of the year will receive a free trip to Super Bowl LX, be crowned at the big game and receive a commemorative trophy.
Polls close on Feb. 4 at 9:59 p.m. MST.
This past season, Salinas attended all 17 games, proudly bringing passion and positivity to the games despite a tough season. Thanks to his unwavering dedication, he was deemed the Arizona Cardinals 2025 Fan of the Year!
AZ Family’s Scott Pasmore spoke with Kenny Salinas, who was recently surprised to learn that he was selected as the Cardinals’ Fan of the Year by the NFL.
Salinas is also known as the “License Plate Guy” for his impressive collection of over 200 Cardinals plates.
Salinas doesn’t deem himself the top Cardinals fan, though. He says he calls himself “The #2 Fan,” because he wants others to see themselves as number one.
When he’s not cheering on the Cardinals at State Farm Stadium, you can find him giving back to the Casa Grande community and working as a journeyman lineman. Salinas proudly serves as the president of the Casa Grande Food Bank, vice president of Pinal County Junior Livestock Committee and sits on numerous nonprofit boards.
“Kenny’s humility, loyalty, and generosity make him the ultimate Cardinals fan — and a reminder of how one fan’s passion can uplift an entire community,” the NFL shared on its website.
