A flag football player from Salinas High School is preparing for her first trip to the Super Bowl as part of the third annual NFL Latino Youth Honors program, nominated by the San Francisco 49ers for her achievements both on the field and in the classroom.”I’m looking forward to just spending every little time there and enjoying it and using my voice that I have there to the best of my abilities to advocate and stand up for Latinos that are in sports and outside of sports around our country,” Alissa Escutia said. “Especially during the hard times right now. I just feel like this is a great opportunity.”Escutia has been given an extra ticket and plans to take her father along for the trip. She also shared her Super Bowl prediction, picking the Seattle Seahawks to win it all.
