Mike Clay clearly doesn’t expect a big year from the Denver Broncos‘ offense.

ESPN’s numbers guru has projected quarterback Bo Nix will have a regression year in 2025 with fewer passing yards and touchdowns, as well as fewer rushing yards and scores on the ground than he totaled in 2024. Following his quarterback projections, Clay has also released projections for the incoming rookie class.

Despite projecting RJ Harvey to lead Denver’s backfield this fall, Clay has the running back projected to rush for just 841 yards and five scores as a rookie. It is perhaps some consolation that Clay projects seven total touchdowns for Harvey, only two fewer than his projection for Ashton Jeanty (nine scores).

Clay’s projections have four rookie running backs — Jeanty (1,120), Omarion Hampton (961), Kaleb Johnson (947) and Quinshon Judkins (922) — totaling more rushing yards than Harvey in 2025. Harvey’s five projected rushing touchdowns also rank fifth among those RBs.

Broncos fans (and fantasy football managers) will be eager to see how Clay’s projections compare to the actual stats at the end of the 2025 campaign.
