Willie Taggart, who coached the Ravens’ running backs for the past three seasons, followed John Harbaugh to New York. New Steelers Head Coach Mike McCarthy brought along one of his former assistants from Dallas, Ramon Chinyoung, to be the Steelers’ new running backs coach.
That left Faulkner, who also briefly played for the Steelers as an undrafted running back in 2001, looking for a new home, and he has reportedly landed with an AFC North rival and one of the best running backs in the NFL.
Derrick Henry finished last season with the second-most rushing yards (1,595) in the league. The Ravens led the league with 5.3 yards per carry and will look to build upon that strong running game under first-year Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle.
