The Philadelphia Eagles will have a new play-caller in 2026 after removing offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo and hiring Green Bay Packers assistant Sean Mannion.
And now, it’s looking like quarterback Jalen Hurts might have a new position coach, too.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that one “name to watch” for the Eagles’ quarterbacks coach position is Greg Olson.
No, not Greg Olsen, the former Pro Bowl tight end who’s now a FOX Sports commentator.
Olson, the 62-year-old veteran assistant, finished the 2025 season as the Las Vegas Raiders’ interim offensive coordinator. Olson was Mannion’s QB coach with the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 and the Seattle Seahawks in 2023.
Garafolo reported that Mannion would be “interested” in bringing Olson to Philadelphia.
There is the question of Scot Loeffler’s status. Loeffler served as Philadelphia’s quarterbacks coach last season after serving as Bowling Green’s head coach from 2019-24. The Eagles have not commented on Loeffler’s status for the 2026 season.
Whoever is tasked with coaching Hurts will do so alongside Mannion and new passing game coordinator (and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC) Josh Grizzard.
It’s an offseason of change for the Eagles’ coaching staff after a disappointing end to the 2025 season. The Eagles lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card round thanks in large part to an offense that sputtered for the entirety of the season under Patullo’s guidance.
