NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Tennessee Titans have donated $250,000 to the Metropolitan Action Commission to help launch Davidson County’s Emergency Winter Housing Assistance Program, which will provide support to residents struggling to cover housing costs after the winter storm.

The donation comes through the Titans’ Home Field Advantage Catalyst Fund, part of the team’s ONE Community platform. The program is expected to launch on Thursday, Feb. 5.

“Our community has faced extraordinary challenges in the wake of Winter Storm Fern. This program is designed to provide immediate relief for families who are struggling to maintain stable housing,” said Jamekia Bies, MAC executive director. “We are deeply grateful to the Tennessee Titans for their generous contribution. Their support will help us provide stability and hope for families during this difficult time.”

Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill said the team hopes the effort eases the burden on affected families. “We know how devastating Winter Storm Fern has been for so many families in our community,” Nihill said. “We hope that this effort helps to reaffirm our dedication to standing with Nashville in times of need. We appreciate Mayor O’Connell and the hard work of the city to bring this opportunity to our neighbors.”

The program will be open to Davidson County residents who have been affected by the storm and meet income eligibility requirements. Complete details on eligibility and how to apply will be available on the MAC website beginning Thursday.

Those seeking to contribute to recovery efforts can donate to the Winter Storm Recovery Fund, supported by the United Way of Greater Nashville and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

The Home Field Advantage Catalyst Fund is part of the Titans’ Neighborhoods pillar, which has provided $5 million in loans and grants to support housing needs across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
