The Arizona Cardinals have a new head coach in Mike LaFleur and reportedly a new offensive coordinator in Nathaniel Hackett. They are in the process of finding a new defensive coordinator.

In a flurry of reported interview requests, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals have requested an interview with Los Angeles Rams assistant head coach and pass game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant.

LaFleur worked with Pleasant on the Rams for the last two seasons. Pleasant coached defensive backs in 2024 and was the pass game coordinator. He was promoted to assistant head coach last year.

Pleasant also worked with Mike LaFleur’s older brother Matt, who is head coach of the Green Bay Packers, in 2022 as an offensive consultant.

In Pleasant’s time since beginning coaching in the NFL in 2013, he has spent time with the Rams, Packers, Washngton and Cleveland.
