Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh arrived in Nashville less than two weeks ago, and he’s been going nonstop since his introductory press conference on January 29.

On Tuesday, Saleh sat down with ABC’s Julian Mininsohn for a one-on-one interview with the local news station.

Saleh answers questions about his time at Northern Michigan, about his family, and the decision to come to Nashville over somewhere else. Saleh says his wife is a “saint” because of how well she handles their household, even commenting that he’s probably her ninth child at times.

He also discusses how this will be different than when he was head coach of the New York Jets. He knows what he would do differently, and he knows what he wants to keep the same.

But what he said about why he chose Nashville is really special. Mininsohn says, “Not many guys get a third shot at being a head coach. This is your second stop, so what is it about Nashville, about the Titans, that makes you believe this is the place?”

“You know, I’ve said it, again, shamelessly, that I’ve done as much research on this group as they probably did on me,” Saleh replied. “I have always believed that people with championships, and this group of people, here? Outstanding. And it obviously started with Miss Amy and the resources she’s pouring into this team and this organization. So, we’re gonna win because of the people, and it was important to me to figure out which organization had the best people. And I felt like this was more set up to win.”

Saleh sees the talent the Titans have, he sees the dedication of Amy Adams Strunk and the rest of the front office, and he sees the potential this organization has. Now, it’s his job to help the team reach that potential.
