Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland had been a mainstay with the Philadelphia Eagles since joining the organization back in 2013.

Regarded as one of, if not the top OL coach in the NFL, Stoutland would certainly be a hot commodity if he ever became a free agent.

Well, that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday when Stoutland announced his departure from the Eagles after 12-plus year stint with the franchise.

Stoutland took to social media to bid farewell to Eagles fans on Wednesday.

“Philadelphia, I’ve decided my time coaching with the Eagles has come to an end. When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back. The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you. Stout out,” he shared on social media.

It came out not long after that part of the reason Stoutland left had to do with head coach Nick Sirianni and the questionable decision making he exhibited this season.

“With the offense stagnant, head coach Nick Sirianni took on a more active role over the latter part of the season,” ESPN’s Tim McManus wrote. “He and then-offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo began incorporating different run designs in an effort to kick start the operation.

“Stoutland was not consulted about the changes to what he felt was an appropriate degree, a league source said, to the point where he no longer desired the title of run game coordinator because he felt it no longer fit his job description.”

McManus also reported that Stoutland was offered a role under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion (Patullo was fired shortly after the team’s playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers), but he declined.

Stoutland is expected to take a year off from coaching, likely landing with a new team after the 2026 season.

McManus’ report had plenty of Eagles fans fired up, many of whom took to social media to make it known they’re not happy with Sirianni’s actions, with some even saying they believe he’ll be fired after next season.

“Nick Sirianni disrespected Jeff Stoutland. Not really what you want to see from the good culture CEO head coach,” one fan wrote.

“Nick been the entire problem since his first press conference,” another added.

“Not firing Sirianni is criminal,” a third scoffed.

“Lol it just keeps being less and less likely this is an offense ‘catered to the QB’ and more of a HC who does whatever he wants…” one user replied.

“Oh wow Nicks gotta go if he went rogue – that’s so disrespectful if true,” a second user chimed in.

“Nick Sirianni destroyed a potential Eagles dynasty by handing the reigns of our offense to his moron best friend. The day he’s fired will be cause for celebration,” another fan remarked.

“Sirianni is a D Bag and holding the franchise back. The talent won the bowl last year def not him,” one user proclaimed.
