Every year, it seems that young players rise up and make an impact for teams across the NFL. The reality is that every offseason, teams look to get bigger, faster, stronger, and younger as they build their rosters for the seasonal grind.

While it is true that many of the young superstars receive all of the hype, no championships will be won without a core group of seasoned veterans providing the foundation. The Tennessee Titans decided to turn to one of those during free agency to come in and solidify their offensive line.

Early in the process, they identified and signed veteran guard Kevin Zeitler in one of their better offseason moves. Not only is Zeitler an experienced lineman who can help mentor the young players in the room, the 35-year-old remains one of the better guards in the NFL.

Dalton Wasserman of Pro Football Focus (PFF) agrees, naming Zeitler as one of the top 30 NFL players over the age of 30, in their 2025 NFL preview series.

Zeitler’s lone season in Detroit was among the best of his career. He set a personal best with an 87.2 run-blocking grade and recorded an 86.5 overall grade, second only to his 2014 campaign in Cincinnati. Both marks ranked among the top three guards in the league last season, giving Tennessee reason for optimism in 2025.

Tennessee needed to change up its offensive line during the offseason. The 2024 unit killed the offense with a right side that at times looked more like an amusement park turnstile than a cohesive unit. The

Titans hope Zeitler, along with the addition of tackle Dan Moore, will help change their fortunes in 2025.Â
