Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was a finalist for the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award. However, the honor will go to San Francisco 49ers’ running back Christian McCaffrey.

Due to injury, Lawrence played in only seven games during the 2024 season. This season, Lawrence’s first under Liam Coen, he put together his best NFL season.

Lawrence finished the season completing 61% of his passes for 4,214 yards with 41 total touchdowns — including 32 passing — to 14 interceptions.

Compared to the rest of his position group, Lawrence was seventh in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns.

During the Jaguars‘ eight-game winning streak to end the 2025 regular season, the Jacksonville offense was averaging nearly 33 points per game.

Lawrence was one of the most productive quarterbacks in football over that stretch.

McCaffrey, meanwhile, rushed for 1,285 yards and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark as a receiver as well. He would score 19 total touchdowns.

McCaffrey received 31 first-place votes, and Lawrence received two, finishing in fourth place.
