WATCH: SVG GameDay, Super Bowl LX Special – Kenton Olson
As a creative in sports, it’s not uncommon to have multiple stops throughout your time in the business. For a select few, they’ve stayed put, planted roots, and built the current state of their program from scratch. Kenton Olson, who serves as VP of Digital and Emerging Media for the Seattle Seahawks, comes from the latter. After graduating from the University of Oregon and working on campus for two years, Olson has been in the Emerald City since July 2007. Starting out as a Digital Media Producer to now leading the department, he has seen and done so much at one organization.
On the latest episode of SVG GameDay, Olson describes the franchise’s overall content strategy, the long-form and short-form pieces of content that have kept their fans locked into their team all season long, how Coach Mike Macdonald’s second year at the helm has become one of the most significant campaigns in the club’s history, how the conclusion to his 19th season with the Seahawks can result in a second Super Bowl victory, and much more.
