Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach Liam Coen was asked about Robert Saleh joining the AFC South as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach.
Saleh, now leading one of the Jaguars‘ division rivals, comes after he and Coen had a bit of a run-in early in the 2025 season when Jacksonville faced San Francisco, where Saleh was the defensive coordinator.
In the week leading up to that game, Saleh said that the Jaguars’ offense under Coen had a form of legal signal stealing.
Saleh was likely referring to Coen’s usage of motion, which can help the offense decipher what the defense might be doing based on how they react–or even communicate–to the movement from different alignments.
Coen would take exception to those comments and let Saleh know after the game.

However, that all appears to be water under the bridge at this time. The two coaches have since spoken and are on good terms.
“What a cool move by Tennessee, seriously,” Coen said. “Just to get another quality defensive head coach in the league that gets defenses to run that way. It’s fun for us, we want to play the best, and that’s no different for coaches.”
Although Coen and Saleh are past what took place early on in the 2025 season, there has still been some juice added to the already intense Jaguars – Titans rivalry.
