Sharon and Roger Ensz are the proud owners of a 12’s dream nest, and give us a tour as the community rallies to support the Hawks this Super Bowl Sunday.
OTHELLO, Wash. — An unofficial landmark in Othello is making headlines once again for proudly showing their love for the Seattle Seahawks, not just this Super Bowl weekend, but 365 days a year.Â
Driving through a town like Othello, you would never guess it holds the home of all 12’s fan homes. At the intersection of 12th Avenue and Oak Street, a beacon for football fans shines.Â
“It was actually my idea. He didn’t even like TV when I met him,” said Sharon Ensz, who owns the home with her husband, Roger.Â
They say the home is a project 12 years in the making, to cement them as the biggest 12’s fans in the Pacific Northwest.
“So when we first painted the house, we was nervous, so I told Sharon, ‘Let’s leave it and if we don’t like it, it’s paint we can just paint over it and it will be gone,'” said Roger.Â
The Ensz’ say painting over the baby blue house on the corner has led to so many opportunities, including meeting the Seahawks themselves.Â
“That was the most amazing day for me,” said Sharon.
And it’s not just the outside of the house that’s decked out. The couple says there are well over 1,000 pieces of Seahawks memorabilia inside their home as well, completely covering their guest bedroom.
The couple has even created a Seahawks apartment complex, spreading their love of the Hawks throughout the city.Â
And while the house is decorated everything Seahawks, the couple says their home is for everyone who loves the game.
“There is really no competition. We are all friends,” said Roger.
The Ensz’ say they love it when people come visit and take photos with the house, and are excited to host their very own Super Bowl party on Sunday.Â
