The Green Bay Packers won’t be playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but there are plenty of connections between the Packers and the two participants — the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. Only one former Packer figures to play a role in the outcome on the field, but there are connections through the coaching staffs and front offices of the Seahawks and Patriots.

A quick look at the Packers connections in Super Bowl LX:

Seahawks players/coaches

DL Jarran Reed (No. 90): A second-round pick of the Seahawks in 2016, Reed spent one season in Green Bay in 2022, producing 2.5 sacks and 14 quarterback hits. He returned to Seattle in 2023 and has played the last three seasons for the Seahawks. Reed had 2.5 sacks, eight quarterback hits and 23 total pressures as a rotational defensive tackle in 2025.

CB Shemar Jean-Charles (No. 34): Jean-Charles is on the Seahawks practice squad, and the former Packers draft pick — a fifth rounder in 2021 — hasn’t appeared in a game for Seattle this season. He is unlikely to be elevated for Sunday. Jean-Charles played in 20 games with the Packers in 2021 and 2022.

LBs coach Kirk Olivadotti: Matt LaFleur hired Olivadotti as his first linebackers coach in 2019. He remained in the role through the 2023 season. Olivadotti oversaw the All-Pro season of De’Andre Campbell in 2021 and the early development of first-round pick Quay Walker.

Run game coordinator/assistant OL coach Justin Outten: In Green Bay, Outten coached tight ends over three seasons (2019-21), overseeing the development of Robert Tonyan. A former center, Outten returned to coaching the offensive line with the Seahawks. Nathaniel Hackett took Outten to Denver as his offensive coordinator in 2022.

Offensive assistant Quinshon Odom: He spent two seasons (2022-23) as an offensive assistant in Green Bay under the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship. He also got one year of experience in the Packers’ personnel department in 2018.

Patriots players/coaches

OLBs coach Mike Smith: He spent three seasons (2019-21) coaching outside linebackers in Green Bay. He helped newcomers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith produce big seasons in 2019 and played a big role in the early development of Rashan Gary.

Senior defensive assistant Ben McAdoo: A Super Bowl winner with the Packers, McAdoo spent six seasons as tight ends coach (2006-11) and two seasons as quarterbacks coach (2012-13) under Mike McCarthy. He later went on to become the offensive coordinator and head coach of the New York Giants.
