The Green Bay Packers have seen a mass exodus of staff to the Miami Dolphins in recent weeks.

The Packers could soon lose a quarterback to the Dolphins.

On Jan. 9, Packers vice president of player personnel Jon Eric-Sullivan left the front office to become the general manager of Miami. On Jan. 19, Eric-Sullivan hired Green Bay defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to become the Dolphins head coach.

Despite Packers head coach Matt LaFleur wishing to keep linebackers coach Sean Duggan, Hafley brought him to the Dolphins to become their next offensive coordinator.

Malik Willis of the Green Bay Packers has been linked to the Miami Dolphins

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler thinks the Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals will try to land Packers quarterback Malik Willis in free agency.

The backup quarterback threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns last season. Willis added another 123 yards and two touchdowns on the ground during his four game appearances.

“Two teams I’ll be watching to pursue Malik Willis, if they can find someone to take their current quarterbacks, are the Cardinals and Dolphins,” Flower wrote.

“The ties are obvious: New Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan and coach Jeff Hafley got a head start on Willis from Green Bay, and new Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur can get intimate knowledge of Willis’ game from LaFleur’s brother, Matt. The Cardinals and Dolphins are saddled with huge guarantees for Kyler Murray and Tua Tagovailoa, respectively, though.”

Hafley is set to have a quarterback controversy on his hands this offseason. Tua Tagovailoa was benched at the end of the regular season, and the Dolphins could move on from the 2020 first-round pick in the offseason.

Miami selected Quinn Ewers in the seventh round of the 2025 draft. He finished with 622 yards passing, three touchdowns and three interceptions for his rookie season.

Willis would be an intriguing option for Miami. He proved that he should contend for a starting role in the league, something that would never happen for Willis in Green Bay with Jordan Love on the roster.
