They made big changes for 2025, bringing in a new offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak, and signing Sam Darnold to a three-year, $100 million deal.

How many times have the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl?

Macdonald has already etched himself into a special part of the history books in just under two years at the Seahawks.

However, a win on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium would elevate him on par with legendary head coach Pete Carroll in Seahawks folklore.

Seattle has only ever won one Super Bowl in franchise history, back in 2014 with Russell Wilson at the helm and Carroll as head coach.

They thumped the Denver Broncos 43-8 as Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Butler won the Super Bowl MVP.

Interestingly, Wilson was only in his second year in the NFL after one of the best seasons in rookie quarterback history.

The reason that is interesting is that the Seahawks will face MVP candidate Drake Maye, also in his second year in the league.

How many times have the Seahawks reached the Super Bowl?

Seattle’s Super Bowl history gets even more interesting from here as it further intertwines with the Patriots.

After the Super Bowl triumph of 2014, Wilson and Carroll guided them back to the big game the very next season.

Standing in their way was Tom Brady and the Patriots for a shot at back-to-back Super Bowls.

It was the first and only time, until this year, that the Patriots and Seahawks had met in the Super Bowl.

As you can guess, the Patriots won their fourth ring that season with a 28-24 win dubbed one of the best Super Bowls of all time.

Seattle has won the NFC Championship and made the Super Bowl four times in its history as of last week.

They also reached it in 2006 but lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10. They’ll be hoping to even their record to 2-2 on February 8.

When is the Super Bowl 2026?

This year’s Super Bowl is scheduled to start at the usual slot of 6:30pm ET on Sunday, February 8.

That means it will be 3:30pm local time in Santa Clara

And this equates to 11:30pm GMT and 12:30am CET on Monday, February 9.

Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California will be the venue for Super Bowl LX on Sunday 8 February.

The kings of the AFC will face the best team in the NFC at 6:30 pm ET, while Bad Bunny is lined up for the halftime show.

NBC is the official broadcaster for this year’s showpiece between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
