Dorian Strong’s rookie season came to an end about one month into the regular season when he suffered a neck injury.

Months went by without much of an update on the Buffalo Bills’ cornerback, but we recently learned that his future in football is uncertain. General manager Brandon Beane spoke on Strong’s injury recently with the media.

“It’s a very serious deal,” Beane said. “He’s potentially going to have a procedure that will determine whether he can play.”

Strong provided an update on Saturday, revealing that he is going ahead with the procedure. The cornerback sounded optimistic about his chances of returning to the field in an Instagram post.

“GRATEFUL FOR IT ALL. These past couple of months have been crazy,“ Strong wrote. ”A lot of ups, a lot of downs, but I have been able to get my mental right. I’m excited to have this procedure and get back and be better than ever! I appreciate everybody who reached out. I appreciate the MAFIA for support and prayers.”

Buffalo selected Strong with the No. 177 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Strong had a strong training camp and even better preseason, looking nothing like a day three pick.

Strong would appear in the Bills’ first four games and record a start in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens with Tre’Davious White and Maxwell Hairston out due to injuries.

Before joining the Bills, Strong starred at Virginia Tech. In five seasons with the Hokies, Strong would appear in 53 games. He would record 112 total tackles, seven interceptions and 28 passes defensed.
