The New York Jets are making a lot of changes to their organization this offseason. The first step so far has been changing the coaching staff, with Aaron Glenn completely shaking things up.

And when the roster moves come around, the Jets will have a lot of work to do. The defense needs help badly; there isn’t a good quarterback on the roster, and the Jets have a big decision to make with Breece Hall.

The running back is hitting free agency, and the Jets will need to decide whether to bring him back or not. But if he doesn’t want to sign, Mason Cameron of PFF.com believes that the AFC South-contending Houston Texans would be a top landing spot.

Jets’ Breece Hall named top landing spot with Texans

“Breece Hall, Top Landing Spot: Houston Texans,” Cameron writes. “… The thing about dynamic running backs like Breece Hall is that they can fit into numerous schemes, thanks to a diverse skill set.”

Hall is sure to have plenty of suitors this offseason, and the Texans might be one of the top landing spots for the standout running back.

If the Jets don’t wind up franchise tagging him, Hall is almost surely going elsewhere this offseason. And the Texans would be one of the best landing spots in such a scenario.

They have an incredible defense, and need a more stable running back with Woody Marks’ inconsistencies this past season.

Hall is one of the more explosive playmakers in the NFL, and pairing up with a team like the Texans that desperately needs more explosive play-making ability makes a lot of sense.

As Cameron writes, “Hall would solve that issue and fit the scheme.” Adding a player like Hall would be a no-brainer for the Texans, especially with a quarterback on a rookie contract and a need to win now.

This offseason, the Jets might end up losing Hall to the Texans, with the Houston franchise being such a great fit for the star running back.

While the Jets still might end up franchise tagging Hall to stop him from hitting the open market, if he does, the Jets are going to face a lot of challengers in keeping Hall, with the Texans likely being one of those teams.
