Ravens star running back Derrick Henry is trying to recruit one of the top receivers in the NFL to join him in Baltimore.
Henry made his pitch to Eagles star A.J. Brown when he joined Kay Adams on the “Up And Adams Show” earlier this week.
“We would gladly love to have him,” Henry said of Brown. “A.J.’s a dog. You know, I played with A.J. in Tennessee. … (Lamar) likes playing with guys who have got dog mentalities. So he would love A.J.”
A.J. Brown is currently under contract with the Eagles through the 2029 season, but he has expressed his frustration with Philadelphia and it seems as though he would be open to a trade.
Henry believes the Ravens would be tough to slow down with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, A.J. Brown, Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman at receiver, Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely at tight end and himself at running back.
“Come on over. Please, please, A.J., come to Baltimore,“ Henry continued. ”Let’s go get this ring. You got one in Philly. Y’all done did that. It’s time to come to Baltimore.
“A.J. Brown, him and Zay, that would be crazy. And then Bate, Mark, we’ve gotta get Likely back. Oh yeah, we cooking.”
Brown, who starred at Ole Miss before beginning his NFL career, caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and 7 touchdowns this past season. He has topped the 1,000-yard mark in six of his seven seasons in the NFL.
