Around the same time Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were talking about Joe Burrow’s future with the Cincinnati Bengals, an NFL insider provided a quip about the whole ordeal, too.
Amid the media circus that is the Super Bowl, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini addressed the silly Minnesota Vikings rumors that made the rounds on social media over the last few weeks.

As expected, Burrow isn’t going anywhere and guys like Chase aren’t worried, either, per Russini:
“Despite the hopes and dreams of Minnesota Vikings fans, the Cincinnati Bengals have no intention of trading Joe Burrow — to Minnesota or anywhere else. As for Burrow’s overall happiness? Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase told me he isn’t worried about Burrow’s future, despite late-season speculation after another missed playoff opportunity.”

“Everything gets blown out of proportion with him,” Chase told Russini. “He still loves to work on his craft and become the best every day.”

The supposed speculation that the Vikings might explore ways to offer trade packages to the Bengals was never credible. But that’s par for the course during the NFL offseason.
Burrow turned heads in and outside the NFL with some of his honest comments during interview sessions after returning from injury last season. But it never once vibed like he wanted out or had doubts about his playing future.
Commentary like this from national NFL reporters and those close to Burrow, though, don’t hurt when it comes to shutting down some of the silly narratives that make the rounds.
