Former Indianapolis Colts’ kicker Adam Vinatieri has been named to the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

Joining Vinatieri are Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly, and Roger Craig.

Vinatieri will enter the Hall of Fame as the NFL’s all-time leader in career points. He also holds the record for most consecutive field goals made with 44, career field goals made with 599, and most postseason points as well.

After 10 years in New England, Vinatieri would spend 14 seasons with the Colts. With Indianapolis specifically, Vinatieri made 85.3 percent of his field goal attempts. In the playoffs, Vinatieri made 81.2% of those attempts.

He was a three-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro in his career. Vinatieri also won four Super Bowls, including one with the Colts in 2006.

To go along with the numerous clutch postseason kicks that Vinatieri made throughout his career in New England and Indianapolis, he also has what could be unmatched longevity and consistency, with his career spanning 24 seasons.

Vinatieri will be just the third pure kicker to enter the Hall of Fame and should be considered the best to ever do it in the NFL.

“Adam Vinatieri is one of the most accomplished athletes football or any other sport has ever seen, and he is unequivocally the greatest kicker in NFL history,” Colts Owner & CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon said in a statement. “His iconic, game-winning kicks, his multitude of league records and his amazing longevity are legendary, and now, they have rightly earned him a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We send our congratulations to Adam and his family, and we can’t wait to join with Colts Nation in celebrating this phenomenal achievement.”
