GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) — It’s a beloved springtime tradition in Northeast Wisconsin that unites Green Bay Packers players and fans for a good cause.
Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the Green Bay Charity Softball Game, played at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.
Quarterback Jordan Love is running the show for the first time, after Packers legend Donald Driver handed his longtime hosting duties over to Love last year. Driver, however, is still expected to be in attendance for Friday’s game, interacting with fans.
Proceeds from the event will go Love’s foundation, Hands of 10ve. Its mission is to encourage children from all backgrounds to engage in sports, promoting physical and mental well-being; raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention; and foster stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
On Thursday, officials announced the lineup of both softball teams. It’s offense vs. defense taking to the diamond for the Friday Night Lights showdown.
A number of the Packers’ 2025 draftees made their charity softball game debut this year, including Matthew Golden, Green Bay’s first round pick.
