Tonight the Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
This is a game that has the attention of Jets fans. One of the team’s most hated rivals, the Patriots is seeking what would be a record seventh Super Bowl win. New England has gone from the bottom of the NFL to the top in a single year.
Standing in New England’s way is the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are quarterbacked by Sam Darnold. Jets fans once dreamed of Darnold quarterbacking their team in the league’s championship game. However, Darnold was traded after three tumultuous years with the team. At the time, many Jets fans felt like the team failed Darnold more than he failed the team. Given his subsequent success, that view is only gaining more steam.
Seattle is the favorite in this game, and Jets fans seem to agree.
Are Jets fans this confident, or is a bit of hope involved? Most fans are rooting hard against the Patriots, and many want to see Darnold have success. I would guess it is a bit of logic mixed with hope as Seattle is objectively better than New England in many key areas. In a one game scenario, anything can and frequently does happen, however, so the Patriots of course have a chance.
I’m with the majority myself. I’m picking Seattle.
