A new champion has been crowned.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 on Sunday to win Super Bowl LX. Seattle’s defense was a big part of the victory, applying consistent pressure on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Former Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence was a major talking point, since he called his shot on winning a Super Bowl in Seattle. He joined the team over the 2025 offseason and quickly made his presence felt.

Here’s a look at the national reaction to Seattle’s Super Bowl victory:

Ballgame.

Seahawks are just the better team—clearly, and across the board—from a talent perspective. Showed tonight. Great season for the Patriots. A lot to build on. But this was the evisceration that Seattle thought it could be.

Congratulations to DeMarcus Lawrence, this year’s Call Your Shot Award winner.

The former Cowboys DE is going to win the Super Bowl in his first year away from the team.

Four Seahawks edge rushers (DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu, Derick Hall, Boye Mafe) created at least 5 pressures each in their Super Bowl victory.

This was just the fifth game since 2018 (reg. season+playoffs) in which four edge teammates had done so.#NEvsSEA | #SuperBowlLX

Sam Darnold’s “seeing ghosts” game was against the Patriots pass rush, six years later he’s gonna beat them in the Super Bowl and the Patriots QB is seeing ghosts. Pretty good as far as redemption arcs go.
