The Buffalo Bills are looking toward the future with quarterback Josh Allen.

The Buffalo Bills‘ Super Bowl dreams came to an end following a heartbreaking 33-30 loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional round.

After eight years with quarterback Josh Allen at the helm and zero Super Bowl appearances, Bills owner Terry Pegula pulled the trigger on some major changes to hopefully, finally get over the hump.

Former offensive coordinator Joe Brady was promoted to head coach following the abrupt firing of Sean McDermott. Taking the reins as defensive coordinator is Jim Leonhard, while Pete Carmichael is the new offensive coordinator. Jeff Rodgers is taking over the Bills’ special teams coordinator.

The Bills failed to clinch the AFC East title for the first time in six years this season — that honor went to the New England Patriots. Under new head coach Mike Vrabel, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Co. thrived, finishing the season with a 14-3 record. Pouring salt in the Bills wounds, their AFC East rival also made it to the Super Bowl.

However, the Seattle Seahawks easily defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl LX on February 8. Following Seattle’s 29-13 win over New England, the Bills sent a clear message on social media.

The Bills are Already Preparing for the 2026 NFL Season

Immediately after the Seahawks hoisted the Lombardi Trophy, the Bills posted on social media, “Next year starts NOW.”

Bills general manager Brandon Beane told reporters last month that he’s already thinking about shaking up the roster. “We’ve already started thinking about moves,” Beane said. “I was honestly before this head coaching change already thinking about certain things we’ll do. I’ll have to circle back to some of that.”

Bills Mafia has their fingers crossed the team’s plans include signing a solid No. 1 wide receiver.

Bills QB Josh Allen Was Cheering for His Best Friend Sam Darnold & the Seahawks to Win the Super BowlJosh Allen, Sam Darnold

If it couldn’t be Allen and the Bills playing in the big game, the 29-year-old quarterback was happy to see his best buddy, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold make it the Super Bowl.

“Sam Darnold, that’s my boy. We go back to the draft,” Allen said during an appearance on “First Things First.”

Allen and Darnold were roommates while training in San Clemente, California, ahead of the 2018 NFL draft. Allen became the Bills’ No. 7 overall pick while Darnold went to the New York Jets at No. 3.

Unlike Allen, Darnold bounced around four teams before landing in Seattle this season. And the 2024 MVP is proud of Darnold’s success. “He’s been at a few stops and obviously got his opportunity last year in Minnesota… now he’s playing in the Super Bowl… He’s worked extremely hard for it.

“We spent a lot of time in the offseason together playing golf and hanging out. So I’m rooting for my man there, who wears No. 14 for the Seattle Seahawks.”
