The Seattle Seahawks are on top of the football world after they rolled to a 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60 to win the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in team history.

Stacy Rost: Super Bowl-winning Seahawks created their own identity

Here’s a look at some of what Seahawks players and head coach Mike Maconald said after the win, as relayed by The Associated Press, as well as some quotes from two people from the other side – Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye.

• Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald

“We never waver, man. We believe in each other. We love each other, and now we’re world champions.”

• Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold

“To do this with this team, I wouldn’t want it any other way. So proud of our guys, our defense. I mean, I can’t say enough great things about our defense, our special teams.”

“I know we won the Super Bowl, but we could have been a little bit better on offense, but I don’t care about that right now. It’s an unbelievable feeling, man. I’m just so happy for the guys in the locker room and the coaches that put in so much effort throughout the whole season.”

• Seahawks running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III

“If I would tell myself as a kid right now I wouldn’t have guessed I would have been the one to win MVP. It’s a surreal moment and it doesn’t happen without the guys in the locker room.”

“It means a lot. It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to my teammates. We went through a lot of adversity throughout the season. To be able to make it this far is a blessing, with the noise really. As a team we know the only thing that matters is what’s talked about in the organization. So all the outside noise we really ignore. We stuck together throughout the season and we won a Super Bowl for that.”

• Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon

“We went through a lot, but we believed. All of you all doubters out there who said all that other stuff, you all don’t know what’s going on in this building. We’re one of one over here.”

• Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba

• Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV

• Seahawks left guard Grey Zabel

• Patriots coach Mike Vrabel

“Part of our identity is not being a front-runner. Just like every year, somebody’s gonna lose this game, and we have to remember what it feels like.”

“We couldn’t gain any rhythm, any field position. Defensively, we were really good against the run and we weren’t. We were just playing catch-up.”

“We can sit here and try to put in on one guy. You’ll be disappointed because that will never happen. It starts with us as a coaching staff. … That’s never going to change.”

“We’re 307 days into what hopefully is a long, successful relationship and program, and it’s OK to be disappointed.”

• Patriots quarterback Drake Maye

“Definitely hurts. They played better than us tonight.”
