In a simple, three-word message, the Chicago Bears summed up their thoughts on the future immediately following the big game.
The Chicago Bears closed out the 2025-26 season with bragging rights as the No. 1 team in the NFC North and an 11-6 record, but they didn’t make it to Super Bowl LX. But, that’s not getting them down, and in a simple, three-word message, the team summed up their thoughts on the future immediately following the big game.
Watching the Super Bowl had to be bittersweet for Bears coach Ben Johnson and the crew. They seemed destined to get there, but the Chicago Bears fell short in the divisional round of the playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams.
“Our guys fought the entire way, just like they have all season long,” Johnson said after the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. “I thought this was very much like our team has been, and you’ve got to give the Rams credit. They ended up making a couple more plays than we did. That’s why it ended up going into overtime and they ended up coming out on top. Like I said, disappointing result. Our guys are feeling it right now.”
Johnson added, “They all believed, man. They all believed all year long that we could find a way to win each and every week. So it’s disappointing like that. But, I am proud of the group.”
Chicago Bears Indicate That They’re Ready for the Future With Post-Super Bowl Social Post
Immediately following the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, the Chicago Bears took to X to state, “Back to work.”
That was it. They only used three words, but they got their message across.
“Now this is a team I’d like to see in the (Super Bowl) with Caleb “ICEMAN” Williams, of course,” one follower said. “Can’t wait for the season to get here,” another added. “Next season, we’re doing the Super Bowl shuffle,” one more said.
The team also took to Instagram, stating, “Just the beginning,” with a range of photos from the season. Followers also responded to that post with excitement, some saying, “The new rooks got some big shoes to fill,” and others commenting, “Phenomenal rookie class.”
The Chicago Bears Are a ‘Special Group,’ Head Coach Ben Johnson Says
So, the Bears are ready to come back and fight for a trip to the big game. That’s the attitude that Johnson expressed after the team was eliminated after their divisional loss, too.
“It’s a special group. I said that a few weeks ago,” Johnson told reporters. “I believe that to my core, that when you’re with a group of men for the last time in the locker room and you know it’s just not going to be the same going forward that — I appreciate all of them, the men and the women, coaches, players, support staff, everybody that had a role this season.”
Johnson added, “It was a special year. This will be hopefully a feeling in this locker room that we won’t forget, and we’ll be able to use it as fuel going forward.”
