The 2025 NFL playing season has come to a close, and with the Seattle Seahawks‘ win over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, the 2026 NFL Draft order is officially official.

The Tennessee Titans have known for some time that they would have the fourth overall pick in the draft, and now that the coaching search is over, it’s easier to predict who they will select with their pick. Maybe easier isn’t the right word, but the scenarios that play out are more likely to be correct than not. That said, Pro Football Focus released its first post-Super Bowl mock draft, and they believe the Titans will pick a defensive player.

Tennessee Titans: EDGE Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (FL)

While the Titans need to continue to surround quarterback Cam Ward with talent, new head coach Robert Saleh will also want to add more to an edge room that earned the fourth-worst PFF grade as a unit in 2025. Bain would immediately boost that group after leading all of college football with 83 pressures this past season.

Even before Robert Saleh was hired as the Titans’ next head coach, many analysts and outlets were predicting that the Titans would select an edge rusher. Some suggested Bain, while others pointed to Texas Tech’s David Bailey. Either way, it’s quite likely that the Titans take one of the two, and Bain seems like the better fit.

Over his three years at Miami, Bain recorded 121 tackles (67 solo), two pass deflections, 20.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one interception. The Titans’ edge wasn’t great in 2025. Jeffery Simmons generated more pressure than anyone else, and he’s certainly not an edge player. Bain would give the Titans’ defense an instant boost, and with Saleh as head coach, he will thrive in his rookie year.
