Here are some notes from the past two years:

A record seven new teams won the division in 2025.

The Eagles were the only team to repeat.
2024 only had two new division winners.
2023 had four new division winners.
2026 opening odds have Bills, Ravens, Texans, Chargers, Packers, and Bucs as new division winners.

One team went from worst to first in 2025.

That was the Patriots.
In 2024, there were no teams that went from worst to first.
In 2023, one team, the Houston Texans went from worst to first.
2026 opening odds have no teams going from worst to first.
